Happy with new club

A couple of weeks ago I announced that I had to leave my club Duinwijck again. In the conversations I had with the board about extending my contract on the same terms as last season sounded increasingly doubt about the feasibility. So I also started to look for alternatives in Holland as well as abroad.

Now I have permission to tell that I have reached an agreement with another club for the next season. After having played in the Dutch League for many years I will now cross the Dutch-German border and join the first team of BV Mülheim.

Last season my new club played for the first time in the first Bundesliga and with a final 6th position they performed very well. Next season it is their ambition to reach a higher position in the ranking and of course I will do my utmost to help them to achieve that goal.

The German first Bundesliga is known for its very strong teams and very many good players earn some kind of a living in it. The big difference with the Dutch League is that I will now have to go to my limits in every game, mens doubles and/or mixed doubles, against new opponents. This will also contribute to my further development.

Alltogether this is a new and most welcome step in my badminton career and I am already looking forward to the first match in August.
