Today we lost our first match against the USA: 1-4. Only the men’s singles was won by us.
Dave and I played against the world champions of 2005, Gunawan and Bach. We learned a lesson how to play the badmintongame in a smart way. We had no chance at all. Gunawan is reading the game so incredibly well and Bach is following him amazingly. Bach is a small guy, but he uses his ”lenght” very well. He can play most of his flat shots above is head and we gave him a lot of opportunities to do that. Tactically we had to play a different game, but we were not able to play the game like we discussed before the match started.
Tomorrow we will play Singapore around 1 PM Chinese time and a new match is waiting for us. Lets see if we can use the badminton lesson of today in our upcoming match!
