In the meantime I am back in Holland. I did not write a piece for my site on purpose as there was not so much positive to tell you: I guess you all have been looking at the results of last Friday`s match. Because I was finished playing so soon I did get the opportunity to meet with and to talk to a lot of people. What I experience is that at each tournament I play I meet people like umpires, line judges, coaches, players and even people from string services who come up to me and ask me why for heavens sake I am not playing the mixed anymore. It was your best discipline and it is a shame not to see you on the international court playing it, so they all say. And I can only agree with it.
I have not been playing the mixed for nearly one year now because we all had to focus on the doubles. But in the meantime new pairs were made/ formed and the pairs who existed already, continued playing. A lot of positive energy that I got from the mixed I am missing now and I am not too pleased with that at all! It`s important that if I have finished one discipline too soon that there is an opportunity to go on in another discipline. The way as it goes for me now, does not make me feel good. I have to think about how to cope with these feelings.
